B2B CMO: Brand identity
Role: Design, creative direction
My former CMO approached me about a personal project that she needed help on. She wanted to start a community to share knowledge with other B2B marketing leaders. She needed to quickly develop a logo to help her to get things off the ground. Eventually her plan was to set up a blog and work on a book. I stepped in to help her with the launch.
I started with the logo. Due to the timeline I wasn’t able to do a more exhaustive exploration like I usually do. However two big ideas stuck out to me for this project. The first was the idea that this was a community for marketing professionals to share knowledge. So I focused on a chat bubble as a design element for the logo. The second big idea was about helping marketers drive results. So I started to explore ways to integrate an element into the logo that looked like a graph or chart.

Final logo design
We landed on the final design that incorporated a pie chart element into the logo. With the final logo chosen I created some mockups for a book cover and blog pages. Even though the book and blog would take a little more time to launch, I wanted to deliver all of the pieces to her so that she could move forward as soon as she was ready.
